Ross Wilson

Ross Wilson is probably the only person in Australian rock music who can’t make a comeback simply because he has never been away. In a career that spans over 30 years Ross remains one of the country’s most respected artists. From “Daddy Cool” to “Mondo Rock”, as a solo artist, or as a songwriter of A-grade classics such as “Eagle Rock” & “A Touch of Paradise”, or as a producer of the legendary “Skyhooks”, “Jo Jo Zep” and more recently “The Screaming Jets”, Ross’s involvement with success has continued unabated.

His hit “Eagle Rock” is listed Number 2 in the all time Australian Top Ten and his songs have been recorded by artist as diverse as Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, Jennifer Rush, You Am I, Renee Geyer, Christine Anu, Lee Kernaghan, The Flying Burrito Bros and The Salvation Army Band. Ross concluded the century as special guest on the John Farnham “I Can’t Believe I’m 50” tour and CD and headlined the huge “The Long Way to the Top” national tour. He has just completed the “Now & Then” tour with Mondo Rock featuring some of the Worlds best 80’s acts. His latest CD “County & Wilson” is on radio and in the charts and features some of Australia’s best session musicians weaving their magic on traditionally brilliant Wilson tunes with Ross’s unique vocal style blending the mix. Ross Wilson is truly a national treasure!

James Blundell

Perhaps best know for his work in the country music genre, James Blundell is no longer being pigeonholed by an industry known for being fickle. Associate Editor of respected Sydney music magazine Drum Media, Michael Smith, said as much when he wrote, “(James Blundell) is no more a country artist than Paul Kelly is. He’s a roots Australian singer songwriter, drawing from rock, pop and country. ”Born in 1964 to an English mother and an Australian father, his formative years were spent in Queensland, Australia, where the Blundell family have owned and operated a mixed sheep and cattle property since 1937.

James’ early exposure to music was the day to day fare of mid 60’s regional AM broadcast and so covered a wide range of styles and statements. The first record he ever put on a turntable, aged 8, was Marty Robbins' "The Gunfighter Ballads", a collection of highly evocative story songs that influenced him profoundly. From then on he believed that a song should either describe events, or say something of value in the 4 minutes that it has the listener’s attention.

However James’ professional career did not start until 1986. Although he had begun writing songs at the age 16, it took a work place accident, and time in hospital to bring him to the realization that what he had always done for love, would now be the way he would sustain himself both commercially and philosophically for the rest of his life.

With influences as diverse as 'The Tijuana Brass', Eric Clapton, Petula Clark, and the Angels, it took several years, and numerous attempts for his personal style to crystallize. Conflict with personnel and attitude in the music industry ensured a colourful and sometimes chequered career, a career which has now brought James to the release of his eighth studio album, currently in the final stages of production.

"I am happy with this record. It encompasses both provocative philosophy, and a somewhat light hearted acceptance of the fact that even in the midst of chaos, life, love, and personal politics still occupy enormous amounts of our time and energy. In short, even though the present circumstances are desperate, we can still enjoy the ultimate gift of living, and should never lose sight of the fact that there is always hope of a better tomorrow".

- James Blundell, February 2003. James Blundell’s Greatest Hits Album ‘I Shall Be Released: The Best Of James Blundell’ is out now through EMI Music.

The John Farnham Experience

From the moment FALLON hits the stage it's hard to believe you're not seeing the real thing. Fans of Farnham really love their JOHNNY and know if their idol isn't being done justice. No problem with this amazing tribute to "The Voice". "Everything we do with this show is about making it as good as Farnham's show". FALLON says. From the backing vocalists who sing fantastic duets and solo's that really enthral audiences, to the larrikin antics and corny jokes they share on stage, also the great sound and lighting production, "I love the fact that by the end of every show the audience really feel like they know us personally. Probably the biggest kick for me is when I first come out on stage and see the look of disbelief on people’s faces. That's priceless." "Even the blokes who get dragged along by the missus tell me they had a ball."

Above and beyond everything else though is that FALLON looks, moves, acts and most of all sounds so much like John Farnham, you are guaranteed a great time, even if he does do Sadie. Unbelievably John Farnham has been around for 40yrs, so his music really cuts across a large age group. "Our show is structured to cater to an audience that wants to see a show, not a rock band." FALLON says. So don't miss THE JOHN FARNHAM EXPERIENCE!!!

Fallon

In a career that spans over 20yrs, "ACE AWARD WINNER" FALLON has earned the respect of an industry. With International Corporate performances in the likes of Vienna's Hof burg Palace, The Rome Hilton or our own Sydney Opera House, FALLON has been there and "blown them away!!!”

After more than 5000 shows FALLON has trained his voice to do things others only dream about. "My passion has always been to give a song the same emotion and raw energy as the original, or more if that was possible". FALLON said. This explains his amazing ability to imitate virtually any singer. Tom Jones, Elvis, John Farnham, Meatloaf, Louis Armstrong even today’s a star like Jimmy Barnes, Rob Thomas or Bono etc. This natural talent has enabled FALLON to crossover into many genres, making a name for himself in Cabaret, Tribute Shows, Solo, Duo and straight out Rock Bands.

Filling large venues is no problem for FALLON, with sold-out shows in the big International rooms like Panthers Evan Theatre, Rooty Hill RSL, Blacktown Workers, Hornsby RSL to name a few.

Versatility is the name of the game in any business and Fallon has it in "SPADES".
